Shade and Play, LLC is a women-owned outdoor amenity company based in Charleston, SC. We design and install playgrounds, shade structures, dog parks, fitness areas, sports courts, and synthetic turf for multifamily developers, HOAs, property managers, schools, and municipalities across the Southeast. One team, one point of contact, one finished space at the end.
Why we started Shade and Play
We kept watching the same thing happen on multifamily and community projects: developers piecing together five different vendors to fill out a single amenity package. Playground from one company, shade from another, turf from a third, fitness from a fourth — and somebody on the property side stuck managing all of it.
So we built a company that does the whole thing. We founded Shade and Play, LLC to be the one call you make when you need an outdoor space done right — designed thoughtfully, installed correctly, and backed up after the install crew packs up.
That’s the entire idea. We’ve been running with it ever since.
